The Charity lunches held throughout January and February, saw over 3000 diners in three weeks enjoy a specially devised three course lunch. Visitors were treated to dishes such as Cornish Herring Fillets, Seafood Thermidor and Seville Orange Tart for just £18. A £2.50 cover charge was directly donated to Save the Children.

Rick Stein commented: “The support of our customers has been fantastic and we are really proud to have helped raise over £60k in the 11 years we have been supporting Save the Children.”

Joy Gay, secretary of Save the Children Padstow branch, added: “A big thank you to Rick and Jill and all the staff at The Seafood Restaurant and St Petroc’s for helping raise such a fantastic sum of money.”
