The Eden Project is bracing itself for a bout of job losses.
The charity has confirmed that consultations have begun, with a “small number of redundancies” likely to be made across its workforce, which numbers 490, although it could not yet say how many.
The tough economic climate was blamed for the impending cuts. Latest accounts show that for the last financial year, while it brought in £31.8 million, outgoings stood at £33.6 million.
Visitor numbers are also said be falling year on year.
