Truro’s Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust shop has closed this week to receive a refit as the charity secures an extended lease in the city.

Work is currently underway to create a fresh, modern interior to the shop on King Street, which is expected to open from early August after the charity signed a three year lease.

It will become Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust’s flagship retail outlet – the charity has five other shops throughout the county plus a furniture warehouse in St Austell.

Retail manager Julie Burley said: “We are completely revamping and it will look much brighter and more modern, which we believe will significantly increase our sales.

“This is a prime location and we’re delighted to have secured a lease to trade here for the next three years.

“We want to let people know that any recent donations to Truro are being looked after and will soon be on sale at one of our network of shops.”

Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust aims to generate £500k through its shops, warehouse and online Ebay shop this year.
