A solicitor from regional law firm Foot Anstey has joined international disaster relief charity ShelterBox on a six-month secondment.

Rebecca Anforth, a solicitor in the firm’s specialist Intellectual Property and Information Technology team, will work part-time to help the Cornish charity with the legal issues it faces as a growing global organisation.

Michael Johns, head of finance at ShelterBox, said: “In addition to being ShelterBox’s legal adviser, Foot Anstey is always keen to support us in any way possible including being involved in fundraising events.

“We’re delighted that Rebecca is dedicating her time and her expertise to helping ShelterBox through this unprecedented period of growth and we look forward to welcoming her into the team.”

Anforth added: “I’m really excited to start working with such a well-known and well-regarded charity. ShelterBox has a fantastic Cornish heritage and I’ll be working closely with the team at ShelterBox to ensure that the charity and its associated intellectual property rights are protected globally going forward into the future.”
