The Pendennis 24 Peaks team

A team of six staff from Pendennis Shipyard will be undertaking the gruelling 24 Peaks Challenge taking place in the Lake District later this month.

The competitors in this demanding event will walk all 24 peaks in the Lakes (July 17-18), including some of the country’s most famous mountains such as Scafell Pike and Helvellyn.

All mountains are over 2,400 feet and will be trekked in just 24 hours covering a distance equivalent to walking half the way up Everest!

Pendennis’ team, consisting of Sam Foster, Katherine Howarth, Jonathan James, Harrison Nute, Mikey Marchant, and Charlie Ross, will be raising money for Seafarers UK.

To raise sponsorship money for the challenge, the team are organising a series of events including a public charity auction which will take place at the Chain Locker, Falmouth on Thursday July 15 from 7pm.
