South west legal firm Stephens Scown has raised nearly £2k for charity through ‘Will Aid 2009’.

Teams in St Austell and Truro have prepared nearly 30 wills in exchange for donations to Will Aid charities, which include Help the Aged, NSPCC and British Red Cross.

Legal executive Julie Slaney said: “We are delighted with this year’s positive response to Will Aid and, thanks to our clients; we have once again managed to raise a significant amount for charity.”

The firm has raised money for charity in this way for several years now and it is good to see how many people are willing to take part and how successful it can be.”

More than £900k has been donated nationally to Will Aid, making it the most successful year to date – organisers expect the final total to be over £1million.
