Corporate supporters have been joining together to help Children’s Hospice South West’s Moonlight Memory Walk on Saturday November 14.

The event has been organised by the charity to raise vital funds for the Precious Lives Appeal to help build Little Harbour, a children’s hospice in Cornwall.

Around 750 ladies will be showing their support and setting off on the five mile sponsored Moonlight Memory Walk round Falmouth at the weekend, and a number of companies are also helping out in a variety of ways.

Millets in Falmouth are among these.  They have been offering a discount on walking and outdoor products to all Moonlight Memory Walkers to help them prepare for the event.  Nick Turelo, Branch Manager of Millets in Falmouth explained: “Millets specialises in outdoor products and felt a walk such as this would be relevant to support, as well as being a local and worthwhile event.”

To help treat the ladies on completion of their walk, and help CHSW say a big thank you, a number of companies have kindly donated goodies and discount vouchers.  These include:-

  • Lush
  • The Cornwall Maritime Museum
  • Lyme Regis Foods
  • St Eval Candle Company
  • L’Oreal- goodies for the bag
  • National Maritime Museum, Falmouth (goodies discount voucher)
  • Falmouth beach Hotel (money off meals)
  • Timeless Hair & Beauty (discount of treatments)
  • Brakes (snack bars)
  • Kernow Coffee Concessions (free hot drinks on the night after the walk)

Rococo hair salon in Truro has also kindly donated a year’s worth of free haircuts to the lady who raises the most sponsorship for the Moonlight Memory Walk. Plus, the sponsorship runners up prize is a goodie bag of products and a free blow dry from Rococo!
