Codices Interactive, a company founded on Falmouth University’s Launchpad programme, has won Tech Nation’s Rising Stars competition.

Codices Interactive provides viewers with a live interactive video platform, enabling any broadcaster to create interactive shows. Its first product, QuizKit, is now the most used gameshow creation tool on the Twitch platform, with 1,500+ monthly active broadcasters and 300,000 unique monthly viewers.

Founder and CEO, Tim Edwards, said: “Against such incredible competition from across the UK, we’re delighted to be named as one of the most exciting and innovative early-stage tech companies in the country. We’re excited for the future of our business, with some brand new live interactive shows coming out in the near future.”

The Tech Nation competition culminated last night (Feb 12), when 22 finalists pitched to a panel of judges and a crowd of over 200 investors, accelerators, entrepreneurs and corporate leaders.

Professor Chris Archer-Brown, director of Falmouth University’s School of Entrepreneurship, said: “We’re enormously proud of what Codices Interactive has achieved so far and we’re sure there’s a lot more to come.”
