Truro-based PR agency, Wild Card, struck Gold at the CIPR PRide Awards on Friday night (Nov 21).

The firm won the accolade in the Consumer Relations Campaign category, for its Baobab work with the Eden Project.

There was also Silver success for fellow Cornish agencies Barefoot Media, in the Outstanding Small Consultancy category,  and Lucy Jenner-Brown PR in Best Low Budget Campaign, for its work with Neon Wetsuits.

Jenner-Brown said: “This is the first time I have entered an industry award, so of course I am delighted to take home a Silver.

“As one of the only individual PR consultants to win amongst many large agencies, this feels like even more of an achievement to have done it on my own.”

MPAD was named a finalist in Best External Publication, for its Truro Guide 2014, and also in the Best Event category, for Higher Newham Farm.

MPAD senior account manager, Nigel Barker, won a special prize of a bottle of Champagne for being the “smallest man at the awards”!
