Entries for the 2014 Hub Awards, which celebrates some of Cornwall’s most exciting and dynamic business talent, are now open.

This year’s event, which will take place on Thursday, November 27, will recognise the achievements of individual business people, companies and campaigns from across the Duchy.

The awards are set to be the biggest yet. Along with a new venue – the recently revamped Merchants Manor in Falmouth – the awards will host more people than ever before.

The 2014 Hub Awards are being supported by Export Cornwall, Truro & Penwith College, JH AV, Unlocking Potential, Outset Cornwall, Get Set for Growth, Business Cornwall magazine and Pirate FM.

And entries are now open in the following categories:

  • Best New Start Up
  • Best Use of Digital
  • Cornish Business Leader of the Year
  • Employee of the Year
  • Cornish Business of the Year
  • Creative Project of the Year

Amy Weeks from Jarrang, one of the Hub’s committee members, said: “The Hub Awards offer a great platform to raise the profile of your business or work in Cornwall.

“The awards have once again attracted a number of high profile business supporters this year. We’re proud to be able to host these awards which will recognise and celebrate the county’s most successful businesses, its people and their ideas. The application process is really straightforward so you can enter yourself or nominate a worthy winner.”

Entries for this year’s awards will close at midnight on September 19 and those shortlisted will be invited to an interview panel on 23/24 October. Tickets for the event will go on sale soon.
