Clayworks up for global award

Clayworks Clay Plasters has been shortlisted for the World Architecture News (WAN) Product of the Year Award.

Adam Weismann, joint MD of Clayworks, said: “This is incredible news for us and will further accelerate our rapid growth.

“In the past year we have been catapulted into the world architecture and design world and we are now tripling production facilities in St Keverne and will be creating a number of new jobs to be able to respond to worldwide demand.”

The clay plasters are all manufactured on the Lizard Peninsula following two years of extensive R&D with the University of Bath.

The company has just signed a contract for a major new hotel in Dubai and has recently exported to Malaysia, Bahrain, UAE, India, Finland, Malta and others, and is in advanced negotiations to enter a number of emerging markets.
