Rosewarne Manor is amongst the first to receive the C.H.E.F.S Platinum award
The Cornwall Healthier Eating and Food Safety (CHEFS) scheme aims to increase confidence in the food industry by reducing food borne infection, levels of obesity & excess weight, increase food sustainability and improve the economic impact of the Cornish food industry.
It recognises and rewards caterers who adopt and maintain a high degree of food safety and quality standards as well as offering their customers healthier options on menus.
Up until recently the award scheme had only three levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold. But this summer marks the addition of the prestigious Platinum level, only given to those businesses that have achieved the Gold award for three consecutive years.
Phil Thomas, Head Chef said: “This is great news for us, first we are awarded two rosettes by the AA for our attention to detail and quality food, and now we have achieved the highest level of kitchen safety and management”
