Cornish public relations agency Barefoot Media has been shortlisted for three prestigious industry awards, it has been announced this week.

The annual PRide awards recognise outstanding success and achievement and are held by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) – the professional body for the PR industry.

The St Wenn-based company has been shortlisted in the West of England region in three categories: Consumer Relations, Best Campaign £10,000 and Under, and Corporate and Business Communications.

The nominations are for its work across two of their north Cornwall clients: farmstay holiday provider The Olde House near Wadebridge, and The Harbour Brewing Co, based at Kirland, Bodmin.

Managing partner of Barefoot Media Jim Michell is thrilled to have been selected for the awards: “I’m delighted that our work for the Harbour Brewing Co and The Olde House has been recognised. Each category is really different and shows the range of skills we have across our team, and in particular how effective PR can be for businesses even on a relatively modest budget.”

Over 1,000 entries were received from consultancies, freelancers and in-house teams across twelve UK regions and nations. The awards are rigorously judged by a national panel of industry experts.

The winners of the 2012 West of England CIPR PRide Awards will be announced in November.
