Coodes Solicitors was named Best Law Firm at the Cornwall Law Society Awards.
The award was in recognition of the work the firm has been doing in “maintaining its commitment to the local community, while also offering innovative products and services for a changing market”.
Managing partner Jeremy Harvey said: “To be recognised amongst our peers in the region by winning Law Firm of the Year is a very proud moment for our solicitors and staff.”
In addition, Kirsty McAuley, based at Coodes’ Truro office, was presented with the Junior Lawyer of the Year title at the ceremony, held at the Hotel Bristol in Newquay.
She was recognised for her work with a number of schools that have gone through the complex legal process of becoming an academy.
In nominating, partner Christian Wilson said: “In this new and emerging area of work, Kirsty has gained a reputation of which we can all envy.
“This role would be demanding of an experienced lawyer, but Kirsty has surpassed any expectations of her level of ability as a trainee and indeed the quality that might be appropriate for several year qualified solicitor.”
