Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is urging people across Cornwall to show their support for the area’s only children’s hospice by voting for the charity in the NatWest Community Force awards.

CHSW is hoping to raise much needed funds through the awards, which have been set up by NatWest to act as a platform to empower local projects and charities to raise awareness of their work.

Winning the award’s prize of £6k would enable CHSW to support a local family with a life limited child for five months, including respite care, as well as emergency and end of life support.

CHSW’s newest hospice, Little Harbour in Cornwall provides care for around 200 families in the local area.

Bernadette Thoreau, CHSW corporate partnerships fundraiser said: “These awards are all about organisations supporting their local community which goes right to the heart of why Children’s Hospice South West was set up.

“Winning a Natwest award would enable us to continue helping families with life limited children across Cornwall and Plymouth to make the most of short and precious lives.”
