Honorary Doctorate for Jill Stein

Jill Stein has been presented with an Honorary Doctorate of Business.

The co-owner of The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, received her accolade last night at Plymouth University’s School of Tourism and Hospitality annual awards, in recognition for her outstanding achievements within the industry.

The award honours people who have achieved great distinction in their professional lives and for their contributions to society at large.

She commented: “I’m really pleased to have been given this honorary doctorate, I never went to university so to receive this award from the University of Plymouth and be recognised for my achievements is fantastic.”

While Rick’s name is known worldwide, Jill has worked behind the scenes from the very beginning to inspire the company’s significant growth. The business now includes six restaurants, accommodation, a cookery school, pub and four shops.
