Nominations have today opened for the Cornwall Business Awards 2011.
Any business based in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly can enter one or more of 14 award categories, which include Business Leader of the Year, Best New Business in Cornwall, and Customer Focus, sponsored by Business Cornwall magazine.
Suzanne Bond, chief executive of the Cornwall Development Company, commented: “The awards are a great opportunity to shine the spotlight on the stars of the Cornish business community.
“This is the sixth year that Cornwall Development Company has staged the Cornwall Business Awards and every single year, the range and quality of businesses entering seems to be higher.
“The Cornwall Business Awards are for all kinds of business, of every size and in every sector. Cornwall is undergoing an economic renaissance and it is incredibly exciting to be part of it. We are looking forward to seeing entries that highlight the terrific achievements being made by today’s Cornish business community.”
Around 300 business leaders are expected to attend the awards dinner, which will again be held at the St Mellion International Resort, on May 19.
