Time is running out to get your tourism business recognised in the Cornwall Tourism Awards.

With the May 1 deadline looming, VisitCornwall is warning that tourism related businesses only have a few weeks left to enter the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2009. The Awards shine the spotlight on the most successful and innovative tourism businesses across 15 categories and reward them for quality and excellence in their field. A further two awards will also be presented at the Grand Awards Dinner which is being held at the Headland Hotel, Newquay on October 15.

Entries are invited from companies of all shapes and sizes, in all parts of Cornwalll; from luxury hotels and intimate guest houses to activity centres and holiday parks.

Teresa Timms of VisitCornwall is confident that the benefits that can be enjoyed as a result of winning in the Cornwall Tourism Awards are more than worth the effort of entering. She said: “Achieving a gold, silver or bronze title in the Cornwall Tourism Awards not only boosts staff morale and provides a well deserved pat on the back but it also has unrivalled leverage in PR terms.

“Award winners are fast-tracked into the regional and ultimately the national excellence awards maximising the potential for coverage and recognition from just a single application.”
