Rodda’s has appointed former Ginsters MD, Mark Duddridge, to its board of directors.

Duddridge, who also serves as chairman of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly LEP, has over 19 years’ experience in maximising growth for both branded and own label products.

He takes the place of Philip Rodda on the board, who is stepping down as chairman after more than 33 years’ service.

Rodda’s MD, Nicholas Rodda, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mark to the board. His significant experience and visionary approach will add tremendous value to the business. Now in our 125th year, such a significant recruitment will help drive the business forward for generations to come.

“We wish Philip Rodda every success in his retirement. Following a five-year campaign, Philip helped Rodda’s achieve Protected Food name status for Cornish clotted cream in 1998 a prestigious EU status which now guarantees the authenticity of Cornish clotted cream for consumers.

“His peers hold him in the highest regard and his inspirational leadership has played a pivotal role in driving the business to become renowned across the world since being founded by our great grandmother in 1890.”
