A Cornish energy company is preparing for the next phase of its growth plans with the appointment of a team of experienced directors.
Christine D’Cruz, Shaun Williams, Paul Carten, John Moores and Jeremy Kirk have all been appointed to the board of Pool Innovation Centre-based Happy Energy.
The quintet of appointments brings a wealth of senior commercial experience at national and international level, which CEO, Adrian Wright, believes places the company in an extremely strong position to drive it forward.
He said: “Since launching Happy Energy in 2013, our growth has been extremely good here in Cornwall, developing a multi-million pound turnover and employing almost 30 people.
“We want to build on that success and have put ambitious growth plans in place. Critical to that is the appointment of the new board directors who have the proven track records and an absolute wealth of experience to enable us to deliver our future objectives.
“Between them, Christine, Paul, Shaun, John and Jeremy have worked across the energy services, construction, housing, communication and finance sectors which will prove invaluable for us as we move the business forward.”
Paul Carten joins Happy Energy as commercial director having worked for over 25 years in finance roles in the oil and gas, infrastructure, construction and services sectors with UK and international responsibilities.
Professional marketer and entrepreneur, Christine D’Cruz, worked as a director for global companies such as EDF and American Express, managing large-scale projects, complex communication campaigns and highly-structured governance programmes.
Joining them is sales director, Shaun Williams, who arrives at the company following a career in the energy commodity and energy services sectors, most recently with Scottish Power.
John Moores has been promoted to the board as operations director, while Jeremy Kirk takes the role of finance director.
