Stephens Scown has expanded its dispute resolution team in Cornwall with the appointments of a new partner and senior associate.

Toby Claridge (pictured right) joins the Truro office as partner in the commercial dispute resolution team.

He has over 20 years’ experience in the legal profession, and joins Stephens Scown from Foot Anstey.

Ian Thomas (pictured left), meanwhile, joins the firm as senior associate in the St Austell office specialising in property litigation. Previously he worked at Parnalls and Foot Anstey.

Claridge has particular experience in shareholder and partnership breakdown, banking, professional negligence and general commercial disputes.

Additionally, he acts on disputed trusts and inheritance claims.

Ian Thomas is an experienced solicitor who has specialised for many years in property litigation covering all aspects of residential, commercial and agricultural property.

Commenting on the appointments, managing partner, Robert Camp, said: “I am delighted that two such experienced and capable professionals are joining our team.  Toby and Ian will be great assets in serving our clients in Cornwall and beyond.”
