Commenting on his appointment, Scott said: “Frugi has already achieved fantastic success and this development will ensure that ongoing expansion continues with vigour. The brand has got so much right and the fact they have so clearly stayed true to their ethics is admirable.

“I look forward to supporting the team and working closely with the newly-appointed Frugi board to take this brand to the next level.”

Lucy Jewson, MD and co-founder at Frugi, added: “We are extremely proud of what we have accomplished so far and building our brand to a £4 million business has been an amazing journey, but we also know that the development of a board will enable us to plan for the future and ensure that we face the challenges of additional growth head on.

“We are honoured that Ian has agreed to join our team; it is a huge accolade for Frugi that someone with such respect in the industry and experience with such an iconic British brand wants to work with us – we look forward to the months and years ahead.”

Scott will join the Frugi board as non-executive chairman alongside Lucy Jewson, managing director; Kurt Jewson, director; Robin Harrison, sales & marketing director; and Tracy Carroll, finance director.
