Trethowan’s presidency, which will run for 12 months, follows on from his involvement as a board member for the past two years, helping set the strategic direction for the not-for-profit organisation.

TOPRA is a global organisation with approximately 3,500 members from 50 countries drawn from industry, the regulatory agencies and the consultancy community. This year sees the organisation celebrate its tenth anniversary with some significant changes planned for its members.

Trethowan will balance his new responsibilities with his director role at TRAC, spending time between TOPRA’s London office and TRAC’s base at the Pool Innovation Centre.

He said: “I am delighted to be representing TOPRA as president at a very exciting period of significant changes for the organisation.

“I look forward to working with the TOPRA board to drive these changes forward to improve value to our members as we drive our vision of ‘Enabling and promoting excellence in the healthcare regulatory profession’.”
