Steve Davies has extensive experience in the sporting world and joins the Penzance-based rugby club following stints with Southampton FC and then Plymouth Argyle, and was marketing consultant for the city of Plymouth’s successful FIFA 2018 World Cup Bid team.

More recently he was at St Helens RLFC during a significant time that saw the team move into a new state-of-the-art 18,000 capacity stadium at Langtree Park, experience which could prove enormously beneficial in the Pirates’ own quest to move into a new stadium.

In addition, the Pirates have also appointed a community manager – James Coles – and a physiotherapist, Tracey Russell.

CEO, Josh Lewsey, said: “We are delighted to be appointing Steve, Tracey, and James who are obviously key in establishing our organisational infrastructure necessary to deliver our new progressive strategy.

“These three stood out in terms of their professional capability but more so, everyone involved in the process also believed them to be a great cultural fit to what is and will remain a close knit environment.”
