Cornwall households sign up to solar

A solar panel company has appointed three new Cornwall-based energy advisors following a surge in demand for renewable energy in the county.

Solarlec, which had a turnover of £12m last year, has appointed seven new energy advisors across the country, with three based in Cornwall after seeing a rise in installations throughout the region.

Ged Rowbottom, Solarlec director, said:

“We’ve seen a significant rise in the demand for solar panels in Cornwall and the South West, so we’re pleased to be able to increase our presence in the area.We are thrilled to be able to create new jobs in the county and look forward to continuing to expand our team of highly trained and experienced energy advisors across the UK.”

The new advisors bring Solarlec’s sales team to a total of 26 members of staff, supported by 21 staff members at its head office and a further 20 staff members making up the installation teams who cover the whole of the UK.
