Roberts has some 30 years’ experience in the management, design and construction of Registered Social Landlord (RSL) schemes in the region.

While chief executive officer with Lark Construction, his building teams won some of the country’s top awards for quality and workmanship and projects in which he was involved included major schemes at Truro School and Humphrey Davy School.

With Larks, he led the Ocean Housing Framework and then, after moving to Rok in Exeter, was part of the team that delivered a four-year framework worth over £100 million with Partnership South West, Signpost and Sanctuary Housing Associations.

“Mark’s experience and expertise will greatly strengthen our product and service as we embark on another expansion phase,” said DHBC managing director Darren Healey.

“In particular, his experience in framework and partnership arrangements will prove invaluable.  All told, he has been involved in over 30 RSL projects in Cornwall alone and he will now focus on developing strategic relationships for us with local authorities, RSLs and architects.”

DHBC, in its 20th anniversary year, currently employs 76 full-time staff providing work for around 150 sub-contractors.
