Truro and Penwith College recently hosted some of Cornwall’s top hospitality employers as they delivered a series of masterclasses to inspire the next generation of hospitality stars in Cornwall.

The Ainsworth Collection, Steins Group, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Hub Box, St Austell Brewery and Idle Rocks Hotel were aming those who hosted a masterclass.

The annual ‘Employer Week’ was organised by Truro and Penwith College’s Hospitality department and Hospitality Table Cornwall (part of the ESF Business Clusters project, which is part-funded by the European Social Fund).

The week was designed to inspire students while increasing awareness of the varied careers in the sector and raising aspirations as they rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in the industry.

Course coordinator, Tony Duce, said: “Our employer engagement week here at Truro and Penwith College has always been a key part of our learner’s development and journey.

“This week will help give our students the time to interact with future employers and learn different styles of hospitality.”
