Cornwall Trade and Investment (CTI) has launched its first trade mission of 2022, aimed at helping Cornish businesses trade with Europe.

The virtual trade mission, taking place on March 22 and 23, will provide support and insight to businesses in Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly who are seeking to export non-perishable goods to Europe.

The six-hour workshop – split across two mornings – will feature a variety of partners including CTI, the Department for International Trade, Trade with Europe, Business West and in-market representation from European Commercial Officers.

The session will cover topics such as overcoming European trade barriers, logistics & distribution, custom tariffs & charges, and introductions to European marketplaces.

The virtual trade mission is free for businesses to attend and provides an opportunity to explore European markets – whether exporting to Europe for the first time, or for businesses already exporting to European countries but considering a new market.

Businesses taking part in this virtual trade mission will ideally have eCommerce as one of their sales channels.
