Padstow-based chef Paul Ainsworth is on the hunt for eight new apprentices with an appetite for success to join his collection of award-winning Cornish restaurants including Paul Ainsworth At No6, The Mariners Public House and Caffè Rojano.

Truro and Penwith College has been running a successful apprenticeship training programme in partnership with the Michelin Star chef and restaurateur since 2018.

All graduates to date who have completed their training through the ‘Paul Ainsworth Truro and Penwith College Academy’ have achieved the top Distinction grade and been offered permanent employment across ‘The Ainsworth Collection’.

Paul Ainsworth said: “It’s been amazing to watch how our Apprentices grow and develop during their apprenticeship journey with us, and we are so proud that they have all achieved Distinctions. We can’t wait to offer more incredible opportunities like this to our next group of apprentices in January.”

The new apprenticeship positions will start in January and include entry level roles for commis chef and hospitality team member apprentices. No previous experience is required, and applications are open to anyone over the age of 16 with no upper age limit. To apply simply go online at truro-penwith.ac.uk/apprenticeshipjobs. The closing date is December 31.

Anyone who would like help or a conversation before deciding to apply is invited to call the college’s apprenticeship team on 01872 305500 or complete a simple contact form at truro-penwith.ac.uk/registeryourinterest.
