A Cornish dairy farm that delivers its own fresh milk, butter, cream and other produce to doorsteps in south east and mid Cornwall is ready to step in to help customers left in the lurch by Milk & More ceasing its services in the Duchy.

Milk & More is set to close its Camborne distribution centre by the end of the month, following a detailed review of its business in Cornwall, leaving 4,000 regular customers without a delivery service.

The Green Cow Dairy already delivers regularly to a wide area including Liskeard, St Austell and Truro, with milk from its own 70-strong dairy herd at Pennans Farm near Grampound.

Farmer John Warne, who runs the farm and delivery business with his sister Debbie Bailey, says he will be happy to be on hand to pick up where Milk & More has left off.

He said: “There are thousands of people in Cornwall that want a home milk delivery who will soon be without that service due to Milk & More’s decision to close.

“For some customers home delivery is a real lifeline, particularly at the moment, so we will be pleased to welcome any former Milk & More customers to our service.”
