If you’re longing to break away for your desk job and spend more time in the outdoors and in the sea, then Newquay Activity Centre is launching a new course that might be for you.

The intensive three-month Outdoor Activity Instructor course gets underway in January, giving individuals the opportunity to become kayak, surf, stand up paddleboard, coasteer, bodyboard and bushcraft qualified instructors.

Students will also undergo a beach lifeguard course, giving them a solid foundation base for safety in and around the ocean. Although a keen interest in some of the activities will be helpful, candidates won’t need any previous qualifications to enrol on the course.

Newquay Activity Centre, Director, Rob Barber, said: “We’re super excited to be launching this outdoor instructor qualification that is the first of its kind. To have the beach as your office is the dream for so many people and helping others to make the absolute most out of the Cornish coast is a reward in itself.”
