A new trades finder website for the construction industry in Cornwall has just gone live.

Constructnet has been developed and built by experienced Cornish business owners Neal and Gill Edmonds, who are also directors of business consultancy, Llawnroc Group.

The Constructnet network already has over 200 construction industry trades, suppliers and professionals as members, ranging from architects, structural engineers and landscapers to electricians, plumbers and painters and decorators. During pre-launch, a £1 million house building project was placed with members on the site and a smaller building maintenance contract was placed with a Truro-based firm.

The network is currently all online but it is hoped that when Covid-19 regulations allow, face to face networking events can start. There are also plans for a big event in 2021 to celebrate the local construction industry.

Director Gill Edmonds said: “Whilst we have been planning the website for a while now, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the local economy means Constructnet will support the recovery of local businesses within the construction sector and give them access to leads, promotions, products and job vacancies throughout the south west.

“It will also help anyone looking for trusted, skilled and reliable trades a simple way to get quotes and commission work. We are not just a B2B and B2C network as we are also generating, with the help of our members, information zoom calls to enable local companies to grow and succeed.”
