Expert speakers from various sectors are sharing their insights on how apprenticeship, work experience and industry placements can help businesses in the region re-grow after lockdown.
Hosted by CCB Training, part of The Cornwall College Group (TCCG), this interactive webinar will take place on Thursday July 9.
In recent statements, the Prime Minister said to the nation that young people “should be guaranteed an apprenticeship” as part of the countries recovery from Covid-19.
The apprenticeship guarantee could be funded by the £3 billion skills budget in the Conservative manifesto at the General Election.
“The support from the Government in looking at guaranteeing apprenticeships is a positive move,” said Gareth Kenward, head of business engagement at CCB Training.
“Nationally there has been a decline in apprenticeships starts due to the pandemic, however we have recently seen an increase in the number of apprenticeship vacancies across our group and we are here, ready to support employers when the time is right for them to recruit.
“Our webinar is designed to update employers on the processes, timelines, support available, funding and Government grants available to assist them with growing their workforce or upskilling existing staff.”
