Acorn Blue has completed on the purchase of the former Treglos Hotel near Padstow.

Planning permission was granted in May for the second phase of the residential project, which will deliver eight detached homes and 20 apartments in Constantine Bay, four miles west of Padstow.

Following the successful completion of the first phase of new homes at the end of 2019 which saw a 100% rate of sales off plan, Acorn has been given the green light for the second phase and completed on the multi million pound acquisition earlier this month.

Construction is due to start in autumn 2020 with the first homes delivered during winter 2021 and completion expected by summer 2022.

Stuart Brereton MRICS, regional MD and land director for Acorn Blue, said: “We have been working with the owners of the hotel on this project since early 2018. After running the hotel for decades they were very keen to ensure the right design was approved. We are very proud of the consented scheme, which is a result of consultations with local groups, Cornwall Design Review Panel and working with award-winning Cornwall based architects PBWC and Cornwall Planning Department.

“Following the huge success of the first phase we expect this to be a flagship development for Acorn Blue and look forward to starting work on it in the very near future.”
