The Cornwall Chamber of Commerce has launched a raft of initiatives to keep the business community abreast of the latest issues related to Covid-19.

“Despite the uncertainty, we want to reassure you that we are here to help wherever we can,” said chamber chief executive, Kim Conchie.

“Now that we have better clarity about the Government’s position on the lockdown, our role is to facilitate the understanding of the new regulations to give Cornwall’s businesses every chance of surviving this challenging time.

“First and foremost, we urge you to keep safe, look after your loved ones and both your and their mental and physical wellbeing.”

He added: “Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce, Dr Adam Marshall, has emerged as the leading business organisation advocate in both the national media and in daily meetings with Rishi Sunak, Alok Sharma and Sir Jonathan Thompson. With these direct links we are able to lobby your opinions straight to Government.”

The chamber’s newly-launched initiatives to support the Cornish business community through covid-19, include:

  • Vlogs led by experts of the chamber community
  • Specific Covid-19 newsletters
  • Online topical webinars
  • Connectivity with other organisations who’re offering free services
  • Launching an exclusive LinkedIn Group, where members can offer or gain support
