One of the UK’s fastest growing accountancy practices is expanding into Cornwall.

Baldwins Accountancy Group, which has more than 50 offices across the country, has acquired Potter Baker Chartered Accountants, which has premises in Launceston, and Tavistock in Devon.

Andrew Baker, who celebrates 30 years with Potter Baker next year, will oversee both offices, with colleagues Colin Hill and Mike Wevill continuing to work with their clients and supporting the region.

He said: “Joining forces with Baldwins is a fantastic way to celebrate 70 years since Potter Baker was originally founded.

“As we reflect on the great reputation we have built up in the region over the years, it is also a time for us to consider what opportunities lie ahead in the future.

“Joining a larger accountancy firm with wider services and expertise creates more opportunities for our clients and the area’s local businesses to develop and grow themselves.”
