Helston-based office supplies company, Brewers, is once more under new ownership.

According to papers filed with Companies House, Wales-based group, SET, which bought Brewers’ parent company, Martin Luck, in 2010, has now itself been acquired – by fast-growing Yorkshire dealership, Complete Office Solutions (COS).

Brewers can trace its origins back to 1836 and remained in family ownership until the Brewers brothers retired in 2000, leaving David Rogers as sole owner.

Rogers himself retired six years later, selling the business to Plymouth-based Martin Luck Group, which was then in turn snapped up by SET in 2010.

  1. MLG Brewers will now have additional INVESTMENT which will allow us to develop our current staffing in Devon & Cornwall to well over 100. we will continue to provide high levels of employment in the county. since the last change of ownership, Brewers have grown by 20% year on year for the last 3 years. Brewers continue to enjoy increased profits due to developing their products and services offered to their clients whilst maintaining a local service on a fleet of 12 vehicles. This new chapter within the business will allow BREWERS to offer an even broader range of in-house services than before and the Helston team are very excited about the opportunities this presents. Perhaps Business Cornwall should have contacted the company before posting this online?
