Rodda’s has completed the first phase of its direct milk supply contracts with local farmers.
Rodda’s announced the initiative, which was introduced to strengthen links with the local farming community, earlier this year and has signed 50% of its milk deals within just seven weeks.
MD, Nicholas Rodda, said: “Our scheme looks to give long-term security for the future of both Rodda’s and our Cornish farmers.
“We will be rewarding farmers for high butterfat and hygiene levels which will provide a quality supply of milk with the perfect properties for making Cornish clotted cream.”
Rodda’s is still looking for farmers located within a 30-mile radius of their creamery to supply it with approximately 50 million litres of Cornish milk a year.
