Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) has re-commissioned Excess Energy Communications to lead on the delivery of its marketing strategy for the town for the next two years.

The agency will be supporting the BID in the delivery of the ‘Destination Newquay’ priority strand of the business plan, which has stepped up a level following the successful first five-year term.

The team will be driving Newquay’s digital strategy forward, creating relevant content using all digital media platforms, which will be accessible to BID members for them to use in their own social marketing.

Excess Energy will also be continuing its PR and media relations work. An emphasis on national and international media coverage will be paramount and the team will also be driving new relationships with other tourism bodies.

Newquay BID manager, Eve Wooldridge, said: “We are delighted to be continuing our work with the team at Excess Energy Communications.

“Over the last five years the agency has become an extension of the BID team and has gone above and beyond to deliver the BID’s brand and communications objectives.”
