One of Cornwall’s newest wedding venues will be throwing its doors open to the public this weekend, inviting local couples to take a look around the facilities and its unique setting.
The Cow Shed, located at Freathy Farmhouse in Millbrook near Saltash, will be hosting its first open day on Sunday, February 28 from 11am to 4pm.
Sarah Weeks and Jeremy Lorens, proprietors of both Freathy Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast and The Cow Shed, moved into the property in 2007 and have been extensively renovating the 18th century farmhouse and repurposing some of the adjoining outbuildings to give them a new lease of life.
Weeks said: “When we first moved here, we could see how much potential it had as a wedding venue, especially with the added backdrop of the beautiful Cornish countryside here on the Rame Peninsula.
“Our vision was to create something unique and different to other, more traditional wedding venues, so The Cow Shed fitted in perfectly with our ideas.”
