A new family-run riverside café/bar is set to open its doors at Jubilee Wharf in Penryn in the New Year.

Muddy Beach – which is replacing Miss Peapods – is set to be a “stylish yet relaxed venue offering locally sourced food, excellent customer service, river views, fine wines and fabulous coffee”.

It is owned and run by Christian Dann and his family. He said: “We’re really pleased to have found such a fantastic location in Penryn and are very lucky to have a talented team of chefs and front of house staff on-board.

“Our aim is to establish Muddy Beach as one of the main venues to visit in Cornwall, with a big focus on exceptional food and excellent customer service.”

In addition to normal opening hours, the restaurant will also initially be open on Friday and Saturday evenings for dinner with plans for more evening openings during next summer.
