The Bugle-based non-slip decking manufacturer has tasked Kevin Girdler to introduce its products to more commercial outlets.

He said: “I am very proud to be working with such a well established and respected company and can’t wait to start showcasing the range of products on offer to even more customers.”

“Gripsure has an exciting future as it continues to makes waves in the national and international market and I am looking forward to being a part of that.”

With customers all over the country, including Jamie Oliver, the National Trust and Alton Towers, Gripsure also exports to France, Sweden and Ireland and is working with UK Trade and Investment to establish export to Australia.

Girdler, who moved to Cornwall in 2007, previously worked as a member of the original sales team of the hugely successful motor magazine Auto Trader, which started life as a regional title covering the Thames Valley.

He was also commercial manager for Reading Football Club when the team reached the Premier League for the first time in the club’s history.
