The deadline for entering the Cornwall Business Awards 2015 is fast approaching, with only days left to compete for these prestigious awards.
Any business based in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly can enter one or more of 14 award categories, which include Best New Business, Young Business Person of the Year, and Best Family Business.
The awards are organised and presented by Cornwall Development Company (CDC), in partnership with Business Cornwall Magazine and Cornwall Chamber of Commerce. The awards presentation has become one of the major events in the local business calendar and 350 business leaders are expected to attend the gala dinner at St Mellion International Resort on May 14.
CDC’s Nick Blandford said: “2015 is very special as it marks the tenth year of the Cornwall Business Awards. Over the last decade they have proved to be a brilliant showcase for businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
“The stories of how innovative and progressive our local businesses can be have been truly inspiring. We have already received some excellent entries for 2015 and we want to encourage more companies to enter before the closing date on 15th March.”
The special guest speaker at this year’s awards will be Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE, the popular space scientist and TV personality whose passion is presenting science to a general audience. She is currently presenting the new series of the BBC’s Sky At Night programme.
