Work is well underway on nine new workspace units at King Edward Mine, near Troon.
Funded by Cornwall Council and a grant of more than £1 million from the ERDF Convergence Programme, the units are being developed in the Grade II-listed former Count House and Carpenter’s Shop and are due to be completed by the beginning of April.
“It’s a very exciting project which is already generating interest amongst the local business community,” said Tamsin Daniel, commissioning and project development officer for Cornwall Council.
“We think the workspaces will appeal particularly to people in creative and knowledge-based industries and the rents are cost-effective for small or medium-sized enterprises planning to grow and prosper.”
