Entrepreneurial pupils from a Newquay Tretherras School are heading to Swindon later this month for the regional finals of Young Enterprise.
It is the next stage of a competition that launched last October, where teams of students start up a business from scratch, working out profit and loss, manufacturing processes, marketing etc, culminating in a competition and full financial report at the end.
The Lazy Gardener team recently won Young Enterprise Cornwall for its ‘garden in a box’ concept, and now goes forward to the regional finals in Swindon on June 16
Anthony Lawrence, Link Teacher from Newquay Tretherras, commented: “The students have done fantastically well and have made both myself and the school very proud.”
