Newquay Airport, corporate social responsibility, energy, recruitment and Europe were all on the agenda at the third meeting of Cornwall’s Large Enterprise Action Group (LEAG) which took place at Scorrier House.

Made up of directors from businesses and organisations across the county with more than 250 employees, the LEAG was formed by Cornwall Chamber chief executive, Kim Conchie, who led the event.

“Cornwall Chamber of Commerce is about being a voice for business across the county – from very large businesses to sole traders just starting up,” said Conchie.  “To achieve that, we need to engage with them and identify the issues and challenges they face.

“The LEAG was formed to get large employers together – not just to talk but to take action as a powerful collective corporate entity when necessary.

“Scorrier House provided an ideal venue for this latest meeting as it is private, quiet, well resourced and has plenty of room for small and large group discussions.”
