One of Pendennis Shipyard’s founding partners is leaving at the end of the year to pursue other interests.

David Bentley has fulfilled most roles in the company, latterly being responsible for the interior technical and project management aspects of all its projects.

He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 25 years at Pendennis, working on some fantastic projects and with an amazing group of people.

“Pendennis has grown from strength to strength over the years and I have decided that after a quarter of a century it is time for me to explore new horizons and have a break! I look forward to seeing Pendennis continue to develop and provide the industry and employees with another 25 years of world class custom refit and new build activity.”

MD, Mike Carr, added: “David has been an invaluable asset to the company and a close colleague and friend to many of us in the shipyard. We all wish him and his wife Corinne well and look forward to keeping in touch.

“My partner Henk (Wiekens) and I would like to say a huge thank you to David on behalf of all of us at Pendennis for his loyal commitment and dedication to the business.”
