The positions have become available following Gaynor Coley’s departure from the Eden Project to a new role at Kew Gardens, while Richard Reed has stepped down to focus on other commitments.

The three-year appointments come at an important time for the LEP as it negotiates a ‘growth deal’ for the region with Government and works to finalise its investment strategy for the next European funding programme.

Chairman Chris Pomfret said: “This is a very exciting time to join the LEP’s board and we are looking to recruit outstanding people who share our vision of creating new jobs and delivering sustainable economic growth for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gaynor and Richard for the very significant contributions they have both made to the LEP. Their energy, commitment and expertise has been greatly appreciated by me and the other board directors and we wish them the very best for the future.”

The deadline for applications is January 20 with interviews taking place on February 6.
