The managing director of Pirate FM, Beverley Warne, is hanging up her headphones and moving to pastures new.

After nearly 20 years working at the station and UKRD Group, starting as a sales executive and rising to sales manager, sales director and then managing director, Warne has decided that it’s time for a fresh challenge and leaves the organisation at the end of the week.

UKRD chief executive, William Rogers, thanked Warne for 20 years of commitment to the group and Pirate FM in particular.

He said: “Bev has been a tremendously loyal, hard-working and committed MD and I have appreciated her personal loyalty and passion for all things UKRD ever since she joined the company.

“I was delighted to have given her the opportunity to take the reins at Pirate as MD and during her term at the top, Pirate has produced some of its best performances both financial and in terms of audience.”
