The new faces are Robert Francis, owner Star Castle Hotel; Sarah Mason, the manager of the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust; Jon May, owner and manager of Sandpiper Apartments and Sandpiper Shop, and manager of Peninnis Farm Luxury Camping; and Euan Rodger, owner of the Tanglewood Kitchen Company.

They take over from Isles of Scilly Steamship Group CEO, Jeff Marston; Richard Mills, owner of Scilly Sailing Centre and Spero’s Restaurant; Julian Pearce, the economic development officer at the Council of the Isles of Scilly; and Cllr Christine Savill, who will remain on the board of directors as an observer.

Chris Gregory, chairman of the Islands’ Partnership, thanked the outgoing directors and welcomed the new incumbants.

He said: “On behalf of everyone on the board and our members, I wish to thank Jeff, Richard, Julian and Christine for their invaluable and unswerving support over the last 18 months.

“They have understood the challenges faced by Scilly and resolved to stand up and make a contribution to the islands’ immediate and long-term future. However, I am absolutely positive that our new directors are more that up to the task of filling their shoes successfully.”
